Have you downloaded Gareth's version of "Flying Without Wings". It might be uncool, but I think its better than Westlife. ”

Did he perform it on Pop Idol? I have a version that he sang ... I think it's from there. It is good, but I like Westlife's.

I can't wait until we find out whose single charted higher! *bites nails*

And something weird, IMO, that happened on Friday. My boss gave me a list of about 20 personnel files that she wanted me to pull. I saw on the list that one guy had the last name Aitken. I thought "oh, almost Aiken." Then I look further up the list and there's a guy with the last name "Stoddard." Strange.

Oh my goodness...I don't know if this is a joke or not, but someone on the Bolt boards said their friend works at the printer for RollingStone magazine and they scanned a copy of the upcoming cover with Clay on it. Check out this link and you will absolutely flip! What a different guy than the one in the Atlanta auditions for AI!

We'll find out whether it's real or not this Friday when it hits the stores!

Looking good Clay. When do you get the chart positions? It should be interesting.

( Gareth recorded FWW on his first CD )

Just seen this

Numbers 19 and 22 seem awfully low. Can anyone explain this?

Here in the UK, we are more used to seeing new singles charting in the top 10 - most major artists who release a single will end up near the top of the chart and then gradually (or not so gradually!!) slide down the chart. Very few singles will chart lower down and then climb.

Hi dizzie,

Those low numbers have confused a lot of people because they are actually for the previous week. Some retailers started selling their Clay and Ruben singles earlier than the June 10th release date, so the sales ended up counting in a different week. Basically, they were pre-sales. The real sales will have Ruben and Clay in the top two spots, but we're still waiting to see which one will be #1. The singles charts are about sales AND airplay, so we have to sit and wait until the numbers are released. It's possible for Clay to sell more than Ruben and still be #2 because he's getting more airplay. Radio stations are so political.

Here's a better link for the RollingStone cover pic:

Apparently, Clay has revealed some things about his strained relationship with his real father to RollingStone. Guess his dad was abusive to his mother so they split when he was little. Better for him to get stuff like that out there first rather than the tabloids jumping all over it. He's lucky.

Ruben was on American Juniors Wednesday. He performed Flying without Wings. I wish Clay would have performed.

I haven't heard either of their songs on the radio. jms, have you?! How can a single be number one in the country and I haven't heard it? Strange.
