I wonder if BB will be widescreen this year?

For the past 3 years it has not, and each time people wonder if they will have finally upgraded their cameras to cope with widescreen.

I don't want to get too technical, but wouldn't it be difficult to control any widescreen CCTV cameras purely because of safe areas and things like that?

If I remember rightly, they're controlled by joystick-type devices in the main BB gallery.

yeah possibly the CCTV, but if i remember correctly even the studio shots were done in 4:3

At least what they could do is have all the studio stuff shot in 16:9 and then do coloured borders or something on any live footage like they do for bbc sport i think!

FA was entirely widescreen so it can be done
