Okay this is vague but someone might know what I'm talking about here.

- I'm trying to remember the name of a song that was around in the early nineties.
- It was quite a big hit, I think.
- It wasn't your average pop.
- I think it was South American in origin. It certainly sounded South American.
- It was a sort of traditional 'tribal' sounding South American song.
- I think it might have featured in a yoghurt advert?
- I think it also featured on a recent compilation CD that was advertised on TV. The CD was a compilation of 'chillout' tracks and might have been given away free with a newspaper.

Can anyone help? It's been bugging me for ages.

By your description, it sounds very much like Sweet Lullaby by Deep Forest.

Thanks for that suggestion, I just checked and it's not that BUT for anyone that has heard Sweet Lullaby, the song I'm thinking of is a very similar style.

The only other song I can think of thats very similar in style to Sweet Lullaby is Papua New Guinea by Future Sound Of London.

Give that one a try.

Hmm, tried it but it wasn't that one either.

Thanks for the suggestions though

The artist might have been called something like 'Gala' or 'Gaia' or something. It wasn't Gala of 'Freed from Desire' fame though.

Could it be "Return To Innocence" by Enigma?
