caller id how?
i am having trouble with caller id. bt calle rid works on my landline with my old phone but when i plug in my new tesco ARC202 it does not work! I have looked through the options on my phone but cannot find anything obvious. pretty sure the problem is the phone not the line as my old phone works fine.
any help much appreciated |

any help much appreciated Some phones only show the caller ID, if the number matches that of a stored address book entry. |

As long as you have asked BT to activate the Caller Display on your line and you have a phone that will show the number/name on your phone, then it will work without and problems. (Note, not all phones are caller ID compatible).

Try them with them being the only device plugged into your line and with them in the master socket.
Then try a known working CLID phone. They state they are Caller ID compatible. Depending on who the real manufacturer is there maybe some Caller ID settings you have to change. |
