Brilliant. I admire him already; I'm currently learning another language, so I know how difficult it is and anyone who speaks such random languages like that has my instant respect and admiration. Yes, he's eccentric, but I think he's very clever with it.

Maybe if he had a big neon sign on his head
which at appropriate moments could flash up an emoticon to let you know when he was making a joke , taking the p**s out of the other contestants, etc .... it might help you out.

2. He's a member of a society called The Friends of King Richard III. I would assume this has something to do with trying to salvage that particular king's reputation

I was referring to the Mr Strange character who appeared on Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis' sketch show a few years ago. Anyhow Jonty is the spitting image of former BBC reporter Andrew Gilligan. And if he's 36 then I'm a Dutchman!!
