Samsung PS42C7HDX - Red patch
Bought this tv as an ex demo about 3 weeks ago. Picture is superb, however i've started to notice a pinky red band/patch near the middle of the screen.
Its around 6" wide from top to bottom, around 1/3 in from the left and is most noticeable when there is a constant colour on the screen, especially green or blue. Its was there on the cricket and golf then again when we watched Jaws the other night. You cant see it a lot of the time, but start to look for it after a while. It seems to be worse when the tv is 1st turned on. Any ideas or should I be looking to exchange it? Thanks |

You don't get purity problems with LCD or Plasma, so it's nothing as simple as that - most likely it's the panel that is faulty?.
Incidently, LCD's tend to have a duff single line of pixels, Plasma tends to have a much wider section of duff pixels. |
