Maybe, but even if Grant does come back with Peggy it won't be for another year as Babs is taking a year out of EE.

I know i've said this before, but i will all depend on how Ross is getting on with ITV at the time, since he signed a "golden handcuffs" with them, i think!

I think it would be good if Grant came back. He's a more bearable character than that bad tempered, puffy faced brother of his! (yes, I nicked the phrase "puffy-faced" off someone on this board! Sorry!)

If Grant were to come back, i reckon it would be best left til next year (when Peggy comes back). There will be too much going on this year when Den comes back etc.

Ross Kemp had signed a deal with ITV/Granada (don't know which) which meant that he is doing another series of Ultimate Force...
Does anybody know when this is coming back? Cheers, KJG

It was reported in a newspaper a few weeks ago now that Ross Kemp would NOT be having his ITV deal renewed because on the whole, the ratings for his programmes haven't been too good. So if that's accurate, once his ITV contract expires, he's free to go where he chooses.
The current theory is... SPOILER SPACE * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ...that Phil leaves Albert Square shortly - along with his rather fine lady friend - to join Peggy and Grant in Rio. In a year's time, Peggy and Phil will return to Eastenders... ...with Grant Mitchell in tow! But while they're in Rio, of course, Den Watts returns and eventually boots Alfie out of the Queen Vic. |

Yeah well, when Den leaves, hopefully the Moons will get re-instated again!

Bowlando.....On drugs??? lol
Ok, Now first of all thats not a spoiler cuz it cant happen because of ross's itv deal, He probably wont be realesed from the deal dispite bad ratings, because ITV know if ross went back to Eastenders, it would bring big ratings for the show and its the last thing they need just as Corrie is getting higher ratings in the soap wars. And what he said about den is false and is probably Bowlando again the same goes for the grant "spoiler", is probably Bowlando making guesses to what would happen, see alot of people have been saying that if grant was to come back he would come back paralyzed, again just another rumour what people are spreading. So all in all dont worry, Alfie Will be around for awhile yet!!!

Tomheck, Alfie will still be around, but not as owner of the pub. It looks like it's true that Den kicks him out, but even the writers probably don't know how they will bring Peggy and Phil back, so Grant could come back with them although it is unlikely.

To answer a few points.
If Grant is to come back with Phil and Peggy it will not be for at least a year. I think Ross Kemp's contract with ITV will be fulfilled by then. Alfie is not the owner of the pub now. Phil is. Alfie is simply the manager. Apparently he does kick Alfie out of the pub but like others here I cannot see on what basis he could do that. If anyone can remember the pattern of sale of the pub through the years, did it pass to Sharon on Den's "death" or had he already sold it. They could tie themselves up in knots with this one. Of course he could illegally occupy the Queen Vic, leaving Phil to kick him out. |

Well What I do remember is part of the reason Sharon married Grant on Boxing Day 1991 is because he offered to put up the money to buy the Vic.
When Den died, Pat and Frank took over the tenancy, presumably they bought it. Can't remember what happened when they bought the B&B tho. |
