News on Dirty Den from ananova
Dirty Den to learn of daughter's pregnancy
Dirty Den is to get a shock on his dramatic return to Albert Square, with the discovery that his daughter Vicki is pregnant. Den, played by Leslie Grantham, returns to Walford to seek revenge on crime boss Jack Dalton - the man believed to have tried to kill him in 1989. But his first job will be persuading the daughter he has never met not to have an abortion. Vicki will discover she is expecting a baby after a one-night stand with Spencer Moon - the younger brother of Queen Vic landlord Alfie. She is the product of Den's liaison with underage Michelle Fowler - which shocked viewers 14 years ago. A spokeswoman for the soap told the Daily Mirror: "It is true that Vicki becomes pregnant by Spencer - it's a case of history repeating itself." Den's exit from the show was left open, although many viewers assumed he was dead after a confrontation with a gunman beside a canal. But soap fans never saw his body fall into the water after the "fatal" shots were fired from behind an innocent looking bunch daffodils. |

Similar story on DS too :-
In the latest in a series of storylines bringing the Watts/Fowler family back to the forefront of EastEnders, teenager Vicki Fowler is to get pregnant. Her father Den, played by Leslie Grantham, will learn the news upon returning to the Square. One of the first things he has to do is persuade her not to have an abortion. Vicki's pregnancy will be the result of a one-night stand with Spencer, younger brother of pub manager Alfie. "Vicki is devastated when she realises she is pregnant," an insider told today's Mirror. "Spencer says he will stand by Vicki, but she insists she will get rid of the baby. Den never wanted to come back, but when Vicki gets into trouble he has no choice. He charges back in and tries to take control." Den will be back on screens in September. |
