i have a bt home hub , so two numbers , one pstn one voip , i have 3 bt 1010's

everything is fine , the hub sometimes needs rebooting but its ok

however when someone calls my pstn line and we answer with a 1010 , (we have 3 , all the same problem) there is a really loud hash on the line

you can talk to the person , but its terrible

ive recently fitted an lju upstairs from the upstairs extension to an office , but ive connected the hub out through the nte inner socket and the problem still exisits , and anyway if the problem were this wouldnt it effect everything else .

we have clear lines and fast bb when calling out , and clear lines when taking calls

if we answer the phone through our standard phone , connected through a filter , its clear .

baffled ?

What's a 'loud hash'?

In telecoms, hash is usually used for the # sign so I don't know what you mean, unless you're just saying it's a loud noise, if that's the case can you describe it more please?

No it isn't obvious what you mean at all, if you was willing to go into more detail I can help you trace the problem.

That response is simply rude and unnecessary, particularly for your second ever post on a forum where someone is trying to help you.

I think you'll find help on this not particularly forthcoming as a result.

I had no idea what the OP was on about, don't feel like I'd want to bother helping either by their uncalled for response.

If you want help, you don't rub up the wrong way people who are able to help.

Agreed, I think the OP can safely come to the conclusion they're not going to get any help on here after their ignorant response.
