Samsung LE26R41BD TV Not Responding to Remote

Hi

I have a strange problem with my TV. Intermittently it will not respond to the remote. The weird thing is that the TV is flashing to say it is receiving the signal but not changing the volume etc.

I have tried with new batteries and two remote controls. It works with the panel buttons on the TV. I fear my TV is on its way out. Can anyone help?

The fault is in the TV and you have no option other than get it looked at by a repair technician...if under warranty even better.

Happened to my Samsung 32 same model for a brief moment. I unplugged the tv from the mains then repowered it up and it cured the problem....hope that helps.

This sounds like a known problem with Samsungs which mainly affected channel changing. An over the air s/w update cured my R73 and R74. I don't know if the R41 was included or has the same software. Maybe worth a check to see what version you have.

The latest s/w for the R73/74 is T_BORDDUKO_1015. (previous ~_1010 and originally ~_1005)
