I was listening to Mark & Lard this afternoon, and they said Crossroads was ending.

But it is a weird ending. The Crossroads Hotel turns out to be a figment of a supermarket worker's imagination.

It also turns out that her collegues in Crossroads also work in this supermarket.

Can anyone tell me if this is true? Bit of a bizarre ending.

Never watch Crossrods, but I read about this on Ceefax. It's Jane Asher's character who works in a supermarket and wakes up and tells a colleague that she dreamt she was manager of a hotel called Crossroads.

Oh I don't know! f they were looking at a good way of giving ITV the two-fingers, it's as good as any. Personally, I like the "Soap"-type endings to soaps (eg all the maincharacters get killed in separate incidents). in spite fo the fact it was a comedy, that particular ending sent shivers up and down my spine!

Actually the two fingered aspect has just made this storyline more appealing. That hadn't occurred to me.

Yes Folks it's True!

The last eight minutes on Fridays episode I think it is, sees Angel Sampson, but called Angela working in a supermarket. I heard Max plays the part of a wino buying some drink and Viginia is the Supermarket Manager and various other members of the cast work in the shop or are Customers there.

How Strange!

Havn't watched this show since it came back most recently with it's new improvements ( beech actors as opposed to MDF )

Anyway, are they planning to rehash a Dallas ending ? ie "It was all just a dream.......................?"

Oh My God!! This has got to be the worse ever!! Can the script writers not come up with anything better than that??? I used to end all my English essays like that when I was in Primary School. lol

I haven't watched one episode since it came back on anyway.... so it really doesn't matter what I think does it!?

I'm here, Dreary, and I do!!

The best way would be by explosion and death of all characters They could have made it all tacky (just burning a few wobbly sets and switch to stock film of an atomic bomb or something) and see it out in style, well Crossroads style

This Dynasty, "oh it was all a dream" ending is a bit pathetic, don't you think?

Yep, the worst idea ever! Of course, there's bound to be one person who thinks this is an excellent idea!

I think it will be a good ending just for the sheer comical value. It is such a strange way to go out and I think it will be interesting to see how they do it. One minute she'll be queen of crossroads the next she'll be asking for a price check on a bag of crisps.

I think this is their idea of "sticking up the fingers at ITV" It wasn't bad, but aired at the wrong time and some of the characters were very poor, it was a good idea to relive their childhood to give the main characters some background, but they should have done that at the very bigining, not a week before the show is axed.

Hmm did I watch that or was it just a dream.. totally surreal. All a dream, except for when they saw "her off the telly", Tracy Booth from Crossroads and asked her for her autograph. Magic!

was the supermarket chain merger & short notice closure supposed to be an analogy of the Carlton/Granada merger and axing of Crossroads?

I thought it was brilliant, comical and very very strange. Very funny when Kate said to Angela "what are you going to do tonight" to which she replied "I might bake a cake"

Maybe it would have been better if they just set it in the Supermarket!

I have never laughed as hard as I did today. All their accents were hilarious(espec. Oona's) and I loved Kate's glasses and the green clothes that all the wise sisters wore.

I still think it would have been a good program for ITV2.
