Good. Is that a first for you? I forgot to look

I think I spotted it. I saw a white object in the sky travelling steadily from roughly SSW to SE at about 19:25. I made sure the object in question was travelling a pretty steady route without changing directions. No flashing lights like those on aircraft, just the slight flickering of light being due only to the atmosphere.

It disappeared from view completely after just over a minute of visibility.

I've seen it several times over the last couple of years.

People might like to download Stellarium. It is a very good planetarium programme and now shows satellites like the ISS.

So the next season of viewing the ISS starts tomorrow at 7.37pm. Not a great apparition but by 20th February there will be great passes provided we have clear skies.

Perhaps Christmas was a distraction or else the weather was not very good.

I saw a good pass on the 2nd January and that was my last sighting.

The weather was dire. I don't recall seeing a single pass.

I was not in my usual location on January but it was a wonderfully clear evening. Still it was one of those awkward passes where it was still quite light. I did not pick up the ISS until it was quite high. Then it disappeared quite quickly over a tall building.

Good evening Professor I've taken note that I may not be able to see much tonight, but am ready and armed with wide-brimmed hat to block out the light from the lamps at the end of our street.

Approaching over the Atlantic, but too cloudy here (Cornwall) anyway.

I should have checked better. It entered the shadow very early so it was virtually impossible to see tonight

I've been having fun anyway watching the live ISS stream, they're showing the view of the earth now.

Fantastic. I did not know that suck a thing existed. Soon one will be able to do anything while sitting at a computer.

I guess that this is the one you mean?

Those booms across the FoV are a bit annoying. Are they always there?

That's the one! I was watching the astronauts inside earlier working at something - I just don't know how they do it, they must be very special people.

I wonder if Maybelle has. It's a shame if they can't swing the camera round a bit or move them out of the way.
