Thought I would ask if anyone out there listens to country music from time to time like I do as well as pop. There dont seem to be much country on the radio in the UK just an odd now and again on local AM(MW) radio mostly at the weekends and in the evenings. I do once in a while listen to country from the USA. I do like pop and also pop ballands and the odd soft rock.

Yeah! Some of my faves being Trisha Yearwood, Tim Mcgraw, Martina Mcbride, Sara Evans, Sugarland & Carrie Underwood. It's a shame they don't have the Country Music Channel anymore, I used to love it!!

I love Martina Mcbride, Brooks and Dunn, Faith Hill and Shania Twain to name a few. Forth 2 plays country mostly on a sunday evening from 8pm. you arte right it is a shame theres not a country music channel anymore. 60% of the time I listen to country music and other 40% is pop and ballands and the odd soft rock. I love music from the 80`s and early 90`s also.

It's a crime that there is no Country TV channel when there must be 15 music channels all showing more or less the same songs. Country has a large cult following, yet there are channels like Milton Keynes TV that must get next to no viewers.

I love country music. Among my favourites are Brad Paisley (love him ), Rascal Flatts, Alison Krauss, Shania Twain, Sugarland and Clint Black. Its a shame country doesnt get much airtime in the UK.

I do, my dad got me into it as a little girl! I'm looking forward to Carrie Underwood's new album, I think she was a fab find on American Idol! Rascal Flatts I love too, and Lonestar - fabulously underrated!

I listen to one of my local radio stations Forth 2 almost every Sunday from 8pm-10pm as they have the good Barrie Country show and he plays country music old and new. Been listinging to time for years. The show seems to get a good few listeners. I also got a good few country music stuff on my PC as well as pop and ballads and the odd soft rock.

I have discovered the joys of country music recently and in particular, Garth Brooks. It's a shame there is no CMT broadcast nowadays.

I must be getting old......I hadn't heard of most of the modern country music stars...........

A lot of that Garth Brooks type of stuff doesn't sound like country music as I used to hear it up me Nans, but no disrespect intended if you're a fan of his........I just prefer the old classics, e.g:

Galveston, Wichita Lineman, Rhinestone Cowboy - Glen Campbell (Jimmy Webb - what a songwriter!)

Blanket On The Ground - Billie Jo Spears

Stand By Your Man - Tammy Wynette

You're My Best Friend - Don Williams

Behind Closed Doors - Charlie Rich

Still play all those kinds of songs when I'm in a certain mood..........
