New 3G Phone
Hi Guys,
I've just got a Nokia 6280 and I'm on O2. When I put my SIM into the phone I can connect to the network by GSM but not UMTS. Does anyone know if I need to contact O2 to get 3G services added to my account, or am I doing something wrong? Cheers |

To use 3G with 02 you need a 3G provisioned SIM Card. If you are using a previous 02 SIM it won't work with 3G.
You just need to call 02 customer service and they will send you a new 3G SIM free of charge within a few days then you can make videocalls etc. |

I had a problem with O2 that even though I had a 3G SIM (easy to find out, since in small letters it will say 3G somewhere on it) it still wasn't activated for it. Took a couple of phone calls to O2 to get it sorted. Worth checking your SIM.
