It is just silly to make such definitive judgements based on limited personal experience!
I have used ALL the networks in the UK and they all vary in terms of reception in different areas. Exactly what one would expect of wireless sevices.
3G (2100Mhz) is the least robust signal of any of those available and Orange's & T-Mobile's 1800Mhz whilst better are closer to the charictaristics of 2100Mhz than the 900Mhz used by both Vodafone and 02. Perhaps that is the reason most mission critical business users choose them.
BTW, the seamlesness of cross network in-call handovers has yet to be detailed in any mobile documentation..... until some technical explanation appears I consider it heresay as whilst there are fewer reports of dropped calls on 3, I note reception and call relibility are still issues on many review sites.
