I am looking for other options...I have had the loan of the above unit from my brother while he is away...but I think it is more than I need, I have been using it with my Toshiba C32.30.30 LCD and with a HDMI cable at the highest output 1080P but there doesn't seem that much difference between the scart input and HDMI (maybe because my screen is only 32 inch), the on-board editing features I liked but don't really need...I haven't tried the high speed dubbing to DVD and don't need this feature.
I am looking for a HD recorder with an input to take my motorized sat receiver and my standard sky-box so I can record programs to later watch and record to a Panasonic DVD writer if I want.
I don't need free-view because I have a Humax 9200 and I am not sure if High Def is any good with my size screen, so does anyone know of a stand alone Hard Disk recorder without the bells and whistles of this unit...any advice or options please.
