Where did it all go wrong?

Some may think it hasnt gone wrong for Tiscalli/Homechoice but historically speaking they should of dominated the market place and became a force to contend with far earlier.

I started out with Homechoice from their first rollout as a trial user several years ago.

The service amazed me. This was the future, you just knew it.

Nobody else was doing it. They were working closely with the BBC.

Yet in all those years the service has not moved on greatly. Other companies are offering the service.

So what took Homechoice so long to the point they never really made their mark.

Still very few IPTV providers in uk ....I dont think it has gone wrong...the VOD content is the best on the market..check out Virgin and BT Vision for a comparison...and we have more channels and Sky channels on the way...oh and of course that new pvr/hd box will arrive...sooooon

I agree that they have been a little stuck in there ways but because they are on such a small scale comapred to VM or Sky it must have been hard to invest the required money to push things forward. Now with Tiscali rolling IPTV out nation wide and across Italy hopefully they will have the money to push things to the next level with even more content and chanels.

On a side note, the BBC iplayer was feature in the VM results and they claim that they will have 500 hours of VOD a week from the Beeb so I quess we will too!
