free ringtones to mobile
never downloaded ringtones before-i've just used the pre-installed ones!!
so looking to donwload some real music ringtones... anyone know any sites and a rough guide on what to do...... |

just hunt the net for any MP3 sound clips or use CD's you have and then use Audacity to edit them to the length you want, Job Done!
I have never paid for a ringtone/text alert, there is no need when there is free stuff everywhere. There are some sites that you can down load them for free as well. |

i've got audacity but it converts the sounds into 'wav' not mp3.
would i need to put it onto mp3 and then just transfer to phone and select as ringtone? |

Yes, If you look under file in audacity, It has 'export to MP3'
