Replacing SE S700i cover
DazerUK
11-08-2007
Some of the buttons on my S700i have stopped responding. My brother suggested that I take it apart and clean it. I noticed that there are some funky coloured covers for the phone on sale on ebay so I thought I might as well change the cover at the same time. Unfortunately they all seem to say that instructions are not provided.

Does anyone know where I can find such instructions?

I'm usually good at fiddly things but would like to see how much skill is required to achieve this.

Many thanks.

i did one about a month ago and from what i remember it was one of the worst phones to strip
there is a bit of a guide here:

also mark which cable comes from where as i think they can fit in either connector (although i dont know if it makes any difference)

I have a Sony Ericsson S700i too and after reading that I won't be opening it in a hurry.

It was interesting to see the wires used for the twist to open.
