hi,
Ive been with o2 for the past 3 years - I last upgraded in september 2006 so I know I can end my contract this september.

Ive been looking on the o2 website using help/search etc but I cant find anything to tell me what I need to do to end my contract.

I know I need to give 30 days notice but how do I do this? Do I just phone them up and tell them or does it have to be in writing?

Anyone know?

Was it definitely a 12 month contract you upgraded to?

Also, most contracts need to be ended in writing.

yeah - I didnt actually change my contract atall, just got a new phone.
Only thing is everything has been done online and the website doesnt seem to want to tell you how to end the contract! All I have is the number for wanting to upgrade - guess I will give that a call and see what happens!

Just call CS and they'll be able to tell you the exact procedure.

Do call them up to confirm the procedure, but they're more than likely to tell you that you need to send 30 days notice in writing. thats what most company's ask for. I recommend sending it by recorded delivery too, so there's no risk of it getting 'lost in the post'

Most if not all mobile phone companies have the ability to cancel over the phone now, when you do asked for you PAC number, it means you can take your mobile number with you to another network.
