Perhaps someone can explain for me how you set the Record Picture size on the HXD770/HXD870/HXD970/HXD1070 series of SONY HDD/DVD recorders.
There appears to be no option to set this unlike for example with the HXD1065 where you can specifiy this parameter as either 4:3 or 16:9
I am specifically referring to when you use the SCART 1 input - L1 or S-VHS input - L2. As obviously with recording via the DVB-T decoder the machine knows the picture ratio to record!
