weird thing going on and its doing my head in.
Basically about 4 years ago we bought a sanyo 28" crt tv which came with home cinema system with built in dvd player and a video. Up until a month ago everything was going ok, but now and again the home cinema system plays up.
Right if you walk on a certain part of our floor it seems to blow ie sound goes. Turning the volume up can do it. It can be ok for a couple of weeks then it just goes mental. If you tap the top of the box it can come back. Ive now got me lcd and its pissing us off iven more so. Telly man if I needed your expertise it is now

Have you tried unplugging all the connected cables and re-seating?

As said above, check the connections and reseat them, if not it is most probably dry solder joints, an easy repair for anyone that knows what they're doing.

right hubby had the home cinema dvd plugged in to the sky box, he unplugged it from the sky and put the scart directly in the back of the tv and its working fine now

I hate scart connections they're the worst offenders for intermittent contacts in my setup.
