PDA's

I am after a PDA. I have never had one before and i seem to be bombarded with many options. All i need it for is writing, Memo's and basic word processing on the move. Simple connection to a PC would be great. The more i read about these the confused i am getting. Any advice?

I bought an old out of date HP PDA for a laugh, I use it to contain my London A-Z map. It's easy to use and has bluetooth and WIFI, the modern ones are about £180-£200.

Perfect for the OP's needs.

Just to throw a cat into the pigeons. Have you thought of a pocket pc phone?

I have 2 dell axim x51vs (pocket PCs), but I use my smartphone alot more (o2 graphite).

If you got a pocket pc phone, you'd get the best of both worlds (a smartphone doesnt have a touch screen so you have to type using the keypad).

If you did this you could get the cost of the handset subsidised with a contract?

Yeah, I would recommend going for the phone if you wanted one. I had a PDA and I never used it. :P

I've just bought a Palm Treo 680. It's both a phone and PDA.

Or even the latest XDA from O2.
