Yamaha RX-V520RDS cutting out
Hi,
Was wondering if anyone else solved this problem. Ive just bought some new speakers and hooked them up to my amp and it starts cutting out when i drive the system moderately loud. When switching the amp back on, it asks me to check speakers wires. Its never cut out before even with my old speakers (yamaha NS-10 - rated 8ohms) I now have KEFQ5, KEFQ9s and Linn Classic Unik rears(all rated 8ohms) Ive checked all the speaker terminals and they are solidy wired and non are touching each other. When the shop demo'd the speakers they also tried them on an RX-V amp and it cut out ... They swapped the amp for another RX-V and that cut out too!! So is this inherent with yamahas? or is there something am overlooking! Any help much appreciated... Ive just bought these puppies and am dying to crank em! ![]() cheers, -davemac p.s. Can anyone let me know of Yamaha specific forums where i can trawl for more info? Last edited by Kained : 02-06-2003 at 09:58. |
