They did do it for the odd week (big band) but not really enough space in the old studio for a permanent one.

The new place many be different.

Sure we can afford a small band like they do,
drums, guitar, piano and some brass.
It would make for a better show.

yes they say that the new place is bigger but I a said a small band would not take a lot of space or money and would make a big difference on the presentation.

A small band will make a small sound. They would be totally unsuitable for the kind of big songs that are being sung.

You probably right but I saw some of the xfactor Belgium (and they have a small band) and it sounded very nice..they sing all big english/american music there.

Tom Dice in this year's Belgian X Factor does a good cover of Bleeding Love (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5iJBmleDuQQ) and When You Say Nothing At All (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=H_CuAevXWww).

I think he was in the final two.

Anyway they even use the same "introduction" music as the UK X Factor if you look at the live finals videos on youtube.

The only thing good about the Belgian X Factor is the host, Hadise. Her video: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FYDcyBVzEMA
