why do you care whether people are watching it? Why does that article have any relevance to the entertainment factor of the show? Why have you spelt it 'sux'?

compared to BB US I find that BB UK sucks as well. I never managed to get as hooked on BB UK as I was on BB US, but then I always preferred Survivor over BB. But this year was the worst. There are too many people in and out and they are all weirdos. BB US seems to have more run-of-the mill people-next door in it. Which is my main preference. And people on BB US are not pretending to be in there "for the experience". They win half a million dollars, and they make it quite clear, that they are there to win the money. And why not. How many people do you find on "who wants to be a millionnaire" who say they are there for the experience ? It has drifted away from a social experiment to a game show since year 3, it's about time the contestants treat it that way.
I find the whole concept of the HMs deciding who to vote out much better. Obviously it doesn't make any money for Channel 4. But it also means that the HMs are not playing up to the public. I like the way allainces are formed and broken. And I never understood the rule about not able to discuss nominations. You live together, you moan about people (ever lived in a house share, anyone ???). You might as well discuss nominations. I think the biggest shake up to the tired UK BB series the producers could do, is turn the next BB UK into BB US. The contestants wouldn't know what to make of it, as all their previous studies of BB wouldn't work. |
