Pet peeve: If only all songbooks were spiral-bound....
Does anyone else get really irritated by the way modern songbooks are bound? As soon as you put them on the piano and try to keep them open to play from them, they just keep closing. Either that or the spines break and the pages start to fall out as a result of constant pressing back. Why don't the publishers cotton on to the fact that musicians need their songbooks to stay open? I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a spiral-bound version. (Yeah, OK, I know, it's not that important in the grand scheme of things. But it really annoys me! Do other piano-players/musos feel the same?)
.....And don't get me started on the lack of music clips on digital pianos, which makes the problem worse....how much would it cost to include a couple of bits of metal to prop the pages behind? Grrrr....
Ooh, I feel better for having got that off my chest.
