Newbie Q's Fuji F20 or Canon A550

I want to buy a new digital camera. I currently have a 3.2megapixel Kodak CX4300 easyshare, but it's too big for my pockets, I would like to upgrade to something with a higher megapixel count, and hopefully smaller.

I've been looking at the Fuji Finepix F20 and the Canon Powershot A550.

Reviews:

Canon a550

Fuji Finepix F20

The Canon has the higher megapixel count, but a smaller lcd screen, and is thicker in size.

I'm no camera expert, so should I simply go for the one with the higher megapixel count?

If you plan on using it indoors or in low light, I'd go for the Fuji. (I own that model myself)

No experience of the Canon (but I do also own a Canon camera so I've nothing against them) but looking at the spec and reviews, it's flash and low light handling are not as good as the Fuji.

The Fuji is probably more "pocket friendly" as well. No rounded handgrip and it's about the size of a pack of cigarettes and light with it. Solidly made though.

Both good cameras but if had to pick one, I'd go for the Fuji. Unless you plan on printing off poster size prints, the extra 1mp the Canon offers is not all that relevant.
