Toshiba 37C3030DB

HI there, am thinking about getting the Toshiba 37C3030DB television and John Lewis do it with freeview .

Can you tell me whether it would work alright as I have Sky or should I avoid the television with the freeview installed and look for the model without freeview?
If the sky + is turned off I am guessing we would still have more channels with the freeview installed.

John Lewis although not the cheapest do provide 5 year free guarantee

Thanks

As far as I know this TV only comes with a freeview tuner.

If you conect it to a sky box you will not be using the freeview tuner. If you also live in a service area and connect the TV to a decent aerial you will be able to receive the freeview channels as well . However most of these channels will also be available via your Sky box.

This TV can be had fom Empire Direct for £599 with a Toshiba DVD player thrown in see"TV packages" on their website. Also if you join their "Club" for £20 you get a 3 year warranty.

Always try the old pricematch on John Lewis.

Forget the warranty,,,you don't need it. it's a rip off.

If your tv does go faulty in the next few years you can claim under: http://www.dti.gov.uk/consumers/fact...page38311.html

This TV is excellent btw. I dont have an aerial and only use sky. You dont need freeview with SKY HD

I have one of these and am very pleased with it. I am on cable but in the event of cable,or sky failure, at least you will have a few channels to play with
