Pioneer 444 or Pioneer 454

Hi, I have a choice of 2 DVD players. The Pioneer 444 or the Pioneer 454. Both quite similar, however the 444 has 540 lines of resolution and the 454 has 500. I will be connecting the player to a Phillips 28PW9536 100Hz TV. Has anybody had experience of both players? Does the extra 40 lines of resolution make a big difference? I would be grateful for your help.

I've only used the 444 (Discontinued now) and it's a nice little player BUT the remote is quite small and the FF scan is very slow (2x speed).
I would probably spend a few extra quid and get the 454 since it was Pioneers replacment for the 444.
