Just saw a really sexy bit of kit in the latest Sony catalogue. I think it's code was something like DAV1000, it looked very expensive though but that was totally wireless.

The only one that I know of at the moment is the Sony DAVDS1000 . It's not fully wireless but at least the surround speakers are, it's a start but at a price of about £2k it may be a bit much at the moment.

Thanks Microsmurf, that's the bit of kit I was on about too, saved me doing a search for its price. If I win the lottery I will be off out to buy one!

You do still have to plug the speakers into the mains though, so they're not really "wireless"
Fully wireless speakers would need either big rechargeables, or you to replace the batteries a lot due to the power needed to move the cones in the speakers. You can get very discreet, flat speaker wire now that is very good. It's a bit pricier than normal wire, but a lot less hassle I should think. |

This could be what you are looking for although the speakers are mains powered.
