Seriously I am addicted, I did'nt think I wud be but I am! I love Bronwyn Gibbs, she is a terrific actress and was astounded to see that Natasha Beaumont actually cud act rather than that dreadful SJ she played in Eastenders!

But, the best character in this show is without a doubt Von Ryan, lol she is hilarious and I was so excited as the actress used to play Colleen 'Po Face' Powell in Prisoner Cell Block H. There was an episode last week where the staff were being assessed or something by another Nurse with a cam cored and Von's one liners were class!

I've loved it from the first episode they showed. DVD them all now and never miss one. Hard to believe we're seeing episodes nearly 5 years old, (2002 this series is dated) though, and sad that some of them left in 2003.

*Thumps the table* That is what her bloody name was in PCBH.... COLLEEN POWELL. I remember her in A Country Practice too, she was the celebrant who conducted Dr Elliot's wedding.

I love All Saints, really got into it.... love spotting all the ex-neighbours and home and away stars. Anyone spot Home and Away's Kane Phillips in it the other week?

All Saints isn't a soap? I assumed it was because DS have it listed with the other soaps in the spoilers section, as opposed to putting it under the 'drama spoilers'

A soap is a programme shown all year round. A drama series is shown IN series blocks. They aren't soaps. As someone said, Casualty is not a soap cos it's not on all year round.
All Saints isn't a soap.

I think people call things like Casualty and Holby City soaps cos it's full of ex-soap actors. Same for the Bill - though I don't watch that so I don't know if that's shown all year to class it as a soap!

All year or not all year the Bill is not a soap. A proper definition of a soap would be hard to come up with but the following are soaps Eastenders, Corrie,Emmerdale,Neighbours, Home and Away, Hollyoaks.
Doctors is probably a soap?

It's still, for some reason, the fact it's a drama shown all year round that defines it as a soap. The other name for it, of course, is 'contining drama' which you can win a BAFTA for and which, strangely Casualty won this year, beating Corrie, Emmerdale and EE! So it was up against soaps, yet it's not classed as a soap.

All Saints is a medical drama and The Bill is a police drama as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, NOW, THe Bill is a police drama. Two years ago I would have definitely called it a soap.

The series now revolves around the work that the Sun Hill staff do.
Two years ago it was much more about the personal lkives of the staff of Sun Hill.

It is on every day as that is how the BBC want it. They have only bought 40 episodes (the amount that is made per year in Australia.)

Shows in the daytime are usually alwways stripped. Name me any (non childrens) show on BBC1, ITV, Four or Five that is not stripped?

It has really impressed me, I'm addicted and quite surprised - All Saints doesn't seem to shy away from the serious issues, and I like that. I'm interested to see how they'll handle Jared's rape.
