Two years ago I found a tooth in a bag of walkers crisps which was really disgusting.
I didn't notice it until i'd ate all the crisps and saw it there at the bottom of the bag. Who knows how it managed to get there.

I had a cheese burger from my local chip shop (which is usually excellent) a couple of years ago, and I bit into it and couldn't get my teeth through it. On further investigation, I found the reason! The cheese slice was still in it's cellophane wrapping!

When I was at high school, I got curry, chips and coleslaw for dinner. I took a forkful of coleslaw and was shocked to chomp down on something unbelieveably hard. I spat it out and it was a belly button bar with a blue gemstone!!
![]() I complained and the shifty head cook told me it couldn't have come from their kitchen and persuaded me to give it to her. My mam went mad that I'd handed over the evidence lol! Luckily no damage to my teeth though

Not so much a "found" gross object, but I once opened a bag of Walkers and all the crisps were limp, like uncooked potato slices, my sister had the same bag from a multi pack and reported she too, had floppy crisps! We sent them back and got £50 in store vouchers.
I also once opened a tin of Heinz ravioli to find a green furry mound and stunk of death. There was nothing that looked like tomato sauce or ravioli. I presume that there must have been a tiny hole in the can somewhere which allowed everything inside to rot. I also went into the fridge after doing a big shop and there was a little slug in my fridge which I can only assume come from salad. |

I had feathers in my chicken once in 2009. They were still on the chicken wing! I've also had hairs in my food.

I once read a news article somewhere where somebody had brought a bag of rocket lettuce from Tesco and they found a dead bird inside the bag amongst the rocket lettuce!

Ive found some metal bits a tub of ice cream, and a dead moth in a packet of porridge... ick! Thankfully both were quite a few years ago - and there has been nothing nasty since. *hope I haven't just jinxed it*

About 25 yrs ago I opened a jar of Heinz egg custard for my daughter and there were bristles from what looked like a bottle brush sticking out. My friend was with me at the time and saw it and insisted I wrote off to them enclosing the bristles - I did. Soon after I had the most rude letter back informing me it couldn't have been from them & they enclosed £1.50 for a couple more jars! The jars did have those sealed tops which pop when released so I knew the jar was sealed - I felt I was being told off by Heinz at the time - young & naive I took it, had it been now I'd have taken them as far as I could for their audacity!

I forgot to mention I found a moth in a bag of crisps once. The moth looked as if it had been deep fried.

Around 20 years ago I had a pickled egg from the local chippy. Bit into it and found a chicken foetus
![]() We did take it back but I can't remember what happened as I was only about 8. I assume they were eggs from a local farm and there must have been an "incident" with a cockerel ![]() Needless to say I didn't eat eggs for a long time, and I still give them a once over when using them now. |

Imagine finding this I found a piece of string in a Cornish wafer biscuit. A tiny bone in a chicken sandwich on a BA flight from Edinburgh to Heathrow. Anyone could have choked on it - even children. They just took it away and didn't apologise. I was livid!!! Also some hard bone in some minced beef in a lasagne - I can't eat minced beef now My mum saw maggots crawling in her rice at a Chinese restaurant. I used to love chestnuts and was delighted when we moved to our house that had a chestnut tree. I got grossed out when all our chestnuts were full of maggots and realised I had eaten a few ![]() Not food but a huge cockroach came out of a packet of bog rolls when I opened it. |

A chicken foetus in a fried egg at a B&B. It had a rubbery skeleton, and has put me off eggs slightly ever since. I rarely eat eggs now, and then only organic, free-range.
Also found 1/2 a fat worm on my plate, whilst eating cabbage. Presumably I ate the other 1/2. An ex made me a salad, with locally grown lettuce, but didn't wash it, and there were all these weird skinny red worms in it. I noticed straight away fortunately. I've also found a bag of radishes heaving with maggots, and chestnuts picked locally full of them. Its why I don't pick fallen ones now. I've also found what looked like a blue plaster in a packet of Sainsbury's Ginger nuts. Think a similar thing happened again, but can't remember. I somehow don't feel hungry now. ![]()

Many years ago I sent hubby to the chippy to get fish & chips. I set the plates out of us & the kids & when he got back I went to sort them out. I opened the wrapping & lifted a fish to find a pile of hair, bristle bits & dirt stuck in the batter. I was nearly sick
, he took them back & was told the bloke frying the fish had put the batter tray on the floor underneath the rail he hung his tea towels on, one had dropped on the floor & he just picked it up & put it on the rail. The dirt from the floor stuck to the cloth then fell in to the batter. I rang enviromental health & reported him, apparently he had been reported a couple of time previously, put me off fish & chips for a long time. Also a few months back I bought a packet of those breakfast biscuits & found a hair running right through the middle of one, put me right off. |
