You'd have to tell Sky you've changed address to Ireland. I think they'll probably have to send you a new contract and a new viewing card aswell.
You wouldn't neceseraly have to take your box and dish with you though as you could activate the new card at home in the UK and still receive Setanta Ireland. |

you would need to tell setanta you have moved to ireland and provide them with an address. you would then need to change your setanta region to ROI. Setanta in Ireland costs 18Euros a month (£12.50) also Setanta ROI is 18 Euros (£12.50) a month. Also setanta Ireland is a complicated channel. a lot of programs on setanta Ireland are Irish sports being broadcast to the UK. Some of there Irish Sports like Irish Football (not soccer) are on setanta Ireland but you can only view them in the UK as RTE has the Irish Broadcast rights to them. SO if you move to Ireland you would loose some of that. But for some things it works the other way round for instance there 3pm Saturday premiership games are only available in Ireland and not the UK. |

thanks for replies gents,
I must point out that i do want to take my receiver and want to get the 3pm matches while I am over there. surely I can add ROI to the package and pay the difference? I can provide setanta with an irish address and then I should get setsports 1 & 2? Cheers |

And acquire 08 Not Available's on Channel 4/+1 during certian shows; and lose all the ITVs except CITV and all the BBCs except 1 and 2 off the EPG...

I subscribed to Setanta Ireland last year and they knew full well i was in the UK but still accepted me. I signed up trying to get their F1 coverage but cancelled when they got wise and blocked the signal after a few months!

Are Setanta abliged to pass on change of address details to Sky? Aren't the other channels set per your Sky region or are they the same for both Sky & Setanta?

the RTE/BBC region things are controlled by Sky. Setanta are tottaly separate. If you didn't tell sky there would be no way for them to know. however sky's terms state that you do have to tell them if you move house. Also Setanta can tell your card is registered in the UK. If your trying to get setanta 3pm games in the UK don't. you'll just get in a mess and you will be disconnected. Setanta could even take you to court (but i doubt they would) |

I subsctibe to Setanta.
I've noticed that some of their stuff is "Northern Ireland only", which surprised me slightly. |

And appears on the NI EPG on 418. Gaelic Football rights are the same for North and South. Games are shown on RTE and TG4 while the UK gets games on Setanta Sports 2. These games on Setanta Sports 2 are blocked to NI aswell as ROI.NI gets the majority of content from Setanta Ireland including Formula 1 Practice sessions. We also get UEFA Cup action though strangely RTE blocks UEFA Cup action for NI despite being Eircom Teams. |

As well as UEFA Cup games viewers in NI also get a comprehensive Champions League package (part of the reason I downgraded my Sky Sports). |

Monday night game was simulcasted on both Setanta Ireland and Setanta Sports 1. All SPL games and Setanta Cup are now simulcasted on 2 channels and first half hour of UFC 89 was simulcasted on Setanta Ireland to entice ROI subscribers to subscribe to the Setanta Sports Pack. Setanta Ireland also has 3pm kick off EPL exclusive to ROI. All EPL and SPL games within UK rights air on Setanta Sports 1 to allow freeview, virgin media viewers to watch it.
