Why doesn't Big Brother have a synthesised voice

If Big Bro had a synthesised computer voice, it would add an extra dimention to it. The producer would type their announcement or reply, and Steven Hawking would speak it.

It would make BB completly impersonal, and make the HMs feel even more isolated.

mmm - but I dont think they want it to be that impersonal. They want peopel to come into the diary room and speak to Big brotehr so that they can use that footage. they want them to open up.

I think they could use robovoice for the tannoy / voice of god, but then have a human voice in the diary room.

i was thinking this the other day. but it would be a bit too wierd and scary.

i also thought that on the tv screen they should have a constant loop of footage of a camera zoomed in close to someones eye. so every ten seconds or so it blinks and it is always watching.

but again that would just freak them out.

It's things like that they're gonna have to do, otherwise it's gonna get really boring.

The whole lack of food thing is really tiresome now, and if it weren't for Jon and perhaps Ray and Steph, it'd be a waste of time.

They either need to get nasty, or put some interesting tasks and events in there.

If any of you lot had a real computer (a mac) you'd know how hilarious some of the Apple Speak voices are. All synthesized voices, some comical or melodious, others almost human, except by a comfortable miss. It would add a comical element if they chose a random one of those each time... Cellos could annnounce nominations!

I heard they tried it, but the shadow housemates were completely freaked by it, so they binned the idea.

BB has to have some sort of personality so when the poor little HMs finally crack up they have a chance to let it all hang out and BB get good viewing.

And besides, Fed would never have done the Avid impression to a voicemail, now, would he?
