Hi Folks

Again I'm having problems linking things to my TV!!

I got a new LCD TV last night and would like to the following connected (or should I say my wife would!).

We have Virgin TVdrive, DVD player and VCR, both JVC.

What I want to do is link up the TV to:

1. DVD (scart?)
2. VCR and have cable programs through this so we can tape if we want.
3. Be able to switch to watch freeview channels if we want to while tvdrive and vcr are taping?

Is this possible?

Integral tuner / av box: Integrated PAL/SECAM
Input port 1: HDMI x 2
Input port 2: SCART x 2
Input port 3: AV/S-Video In
Input port 4: RS232C
Input port 5: PC In (no RGB)
Output port 1: Audio out

Any help in the right direction would be great.

Cheers,
John

Not sure about the Virgin box, does this have 2 x scarts? I assume so? if so scart from this to tv, Video into second socket on Virgin box. Then DVD to second scart on TV.

Yes.

Connect the DVD to SCART 1 and VCR to SCART 2.

Sorry not familiar with the V box, so as Telly Man says; HDMI from V box to TV then scart from VCR & DVD to TV

To record onto VHS?

Does the VCR have 2 SCART sockets?

If so, one to TV and one from the V+ box.

Let me know if you manage to record from v-box- ive never managed it yet, yes ive used the correct inputs, etc.
PS when changing V-box to HDMI you must have TV input ready to switch to input no 5 (HDMI) when the screen goes blank, it wont do this by itself!, then OK.
