Do UK DECT Phones work in France
Hi All,
Just moved to Paris recently and I bought an RJ11 to FT connector yesterday. I get an engaged tone when I connect my binatone DECT phone. So I wwas just wondering if UK phones do work in France with the correct connectors ? Chib |

It's a case of finding which two pins on the RJ11 socket of the phone are the A / B wires. The RJ11 standard it should be the inner two pins, however you could find it is any combination, often pins 2 and 5 for some. Once you find which two pins you need to wire them to the correct pins on the FT plug. However if you still have the RJ11 to BABT lead that originally came with the phone, this will be wired to the phones configuration and you could simply use a BABT to FT connector / converter. |

Seems BABT - FT are probably now difficult to find.
However if you don't fancy working out the correct wiring for the RJ11 lead you have and you still have the original lead, you can buy a BABT to USA RJ11 converter and connect that to a USA RJ11 to FT converter. |

Thanks for the info.
I think the problem is from the line and I have an FT technician coming round this Saturday to fix it . Chib |
