Please excuse me if this sounds 'offish' it is not meant to at all, it is just a question I would love to know the answer to.

Why or how does Benjamin Bunny know so much, is she in the know or just an avid fan, ta!

I'm just very, very, very sad

I'm not in the know in any way at all, but I do read a lot and pick things up from lots of different places. Sometimes I think perhaps I should get a life - but this is much more fun

Hope you didn't mind my asking that question, really wasn't being nasty!

That's ok, I don't mind you asking.

Very, very occasionally I'll get something from a so called 'reliable source' but most of the time it's just what I pick up while I'm scouring the web for the slightest bit of information about Chris

The 2pm and 5pm matinees had many kids in the audience but the 8pm performance on a Saturday night in Edinburgh is definitely one for the adults.

As for the inflatable sheep... you probably don't really want to know
I went to see Joseph last night in Edinburgh and was sat in the third row in the middle so got good views of everything and everyone and the whole show was great, with a lot of humour too!

I loved the sheep... especially the ones at the top of the stairs and two of them hadn't quite inflated to their full size so they needed a nudge! It was funny seeing the ones lower down being squashed back into the units before being pushed off the stage!

Craig as Joseph and the cute Keith as the brilliant narrator were both absolutely fantastic.... they all were and Elvis was brilliant too, so too was Chris! Like someone above said, the blonde girl in red was having a ball and was well away with her dancing!

Someone mentioned Keith's accent and I think he's been taught to sing in "English" because if you can remember, John Barrowman kept on all the time at Keith during the selection shows about sounding 'too Scottish' so I think he had to lose his normal accent for the show. Craig was sounding more English in his singing too but not as pronounced as Keith... although having said that, Keith was on the stage most of the night and had a lot more to sing than Craig and they both did an amazing job!

I don't know if the two girls in the front row just in front of me are on here but towards the end of the show they stood up and were waving their arms about a bit and Keith and Craig noticed them several times and acknowledged them, waving to them and saying thank you etc so I think they'll be very happy bunnies!

After the show I met and chatted to Craig and had my photo taken with him because he was signing copies of his album and he's a lovely guy, so soft and sweet and I could have taken him home with me!
I hope both Craig and Keith will have much success in musicals...they are both great!

Thanks for the review SylviaB - I never tire of reading them, I love hearing everyone's opinion of the show.

Great job on updating the list BB, there doesn't seem to be any sign of it coming back to Ireland - North or South. I'll have to do a bit of investigating through the theatres here.

Edinburgh review

- but can I suggest that you only read it if you're a Keith fan or have a stiff drink in your hand at the time...

http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/wh...?id=1944802007
Wow was he really seeing the same show as us.....I know it is a good write up for Keith...which of course I think is quite true....but I also think he is being very unfair on Craig....Craig was fabulous....sometimes I think these critics want blood.

Hope you don't mind but I have posted on Keith thread....
Having seen this post, I have to say that my friend who was with us last night in Edinburgh (she didn't watch any of the Joseph TV selection programmes at all so had no preconceptions about either Craig or Keith) actually agreed somewhat with the Scotsman reviewer! We have just been looking at these threads and neither of us has even looked at the Joseph topics on this forum prior to going to the show last night.

My friend thought that Keith has by far the better voice out of the two and she said Keith has much more stage presence than Craig, even though Craig played the main part of Joseph. I agree with her that no matter where on the stage Keith was, you could not help but watch him. He was amazing with the children too and you can see that they adore him.

Another thing my friend remarked on was that she can see Keith playing the role of Joseph easily but she though Craig doesn't have the 'stage presence' to play the narrator. I think she said that because Craig seems too gentle a person to play a 'stronger' character such as the narrator. Whether that is how he always is I don't know but we thorougly enjoyed the whole evening and whatever anyone else says, I thought the casting was spot-on including Benjamin, Elvis and Jacob!

An absolutely excellent production and I hope Craig and Keith will be recognised by BK and ALW as having done brilliantly!

Having met and chatted to Craig last night after the show, I must say that he is an absolutely ADORABLE SWEET PERSON.

Chris plays Benjamin perfectly. He also does a great job as narrator, but is very different in approach to Keith - a much softer portrayal. Both are excellent, as was Adam Hepkin (sp) on Saturday 5th.

Dean is playing Pharoah this week, as Wayne is on holiday. I'm looking forward to seeing him on Saturday afternoon so I can compare his portrayal to that of Wayne, who is wonderful.

On Saturday 12th we saw Anthony Wren's last performance as Jacob. He played the part at some performances. A very different Jacob to Henry Metcalfe's. Henry just IS Jacob

I can't believe I've seen so many performances in Edinburgh, and I'm planning on 1 last 1 on Saturday afternoon to see the new cast. Now, how long is it till Glasgow?

Dean has been playing Pharoah both times I've been - would have been nice to see Wayne doing it to compare. But Dean was fab so I shouldn't complain!

Just wanted to wish the very best to all the cast and crew of the Tour as they prepare to move the 'Juggernaut of Joy' to Malvern next week.

Edinburgh Playhouse has been their home for weeks and tonight's the very last performance. May it be an incredible show for both the cast and the audience, and I'm looking forward to hearing how it all goes from those lucky enough to have bagged a ticket

FINAL EDINBURGH SHOW

I've seen many productions of Joseph but none can match Saturday night's show for colour, vitality and energy. The cast were buzzing and the audience were dancing - it was fantastic.

From the moment we entered the theatre to hear the background music from Craig's 'Dream On' CD, you could feel the excitement, even those in our group who didn't know the ADWD lads (!!) could feel the special atmosphere.

Narrator Keith opened the show looking supremely relaxed and confident and when he sang 'Pharaoh's Story' - WOW. What an outstanding talent.

Most of our party were there to see Craig and when the curtain rose and he turned to face the audience there were screams all round. He glowed.
He put so much emotion into 'Close Every Door' and his interaction with the pharaoh had the audience in stitches. I could have listened to his voice all night. My friends who didn't know him certainly do now, they even bought his CD!

Chris Barton made the role of Benjamin his own. His interaction with Craig was fantastic and , like the others he looked as though he was really enjoying himself.

The show was over too quickly. The megamix had the theatre rocking and there were tremendous cheers for all, but especially Keith and Craig. Craig thanked everyone for their support and looked so happy when he rose above the stage on his platform.
It was an emotional end to the Edinburgh run and I'm sure everyone left feeling uplifted and wanting more! I certainly did.

Good luck to all for the rest of the tour.

Does anyone know who we lobby for a DVD of the show with the current cast?

benjaminbunny (great name by the way ) thank you for that list of all the upcoming tour venues.

Could I ask if anyone knows (sorry for my ignorance I haven't been able to get on here much for ages), when there are two performances in the day, who usually plays who in the afternoon matinee and in the evening or does it vary?

benjaminbunny (great name by the way ) thank you for that list of all the upcoming tour venues.

Could I ask if anyone knows (sorry for my ignorance I haven't been able to get on here much for ages), when there are two performances in the day, who usually plays who in the afternoon matinee and in the evening or does it vary?
Usually - and it does vary for one reason or another - Chris covers Joseph at the Weds matinee and Sat 2pm shows while Craig is off, and he covers Narrator at the Thurs matinee and Sat 5pm show while Keith is off. At all other performances Craig is Joe, Keith narrator and Chris is Benjamin - in theory
