Why.........
........doesn't my dads sim card work in my phone? When in put in my card it registers fine, but when i put in my dads card in it, it says ISM failure. Whats going on?
P.S. Were both on o2, but he's from the UK Cellnet ere, and im from the BT Cellnet one. (both PAYG) |

The phone is locked not only to a network but to a specific tarrif as well. Commonly used on Voda pay as you talk.

I wouldnt mind betting your dads SIM came from a Cellnet U phone. If that is the case the SIM will only work in that phone.
