More O2 Problems
Hmm...seems like the problems with O2 are never ending, just when i thought everything was going well, suppose it was too quiet. Got my latest bill since i changed tariffs to the online 50 tariffbecause ive got a 7250 now and it seems they are charging me for MMS messages when they should count as 4 texts out of the 500 free. Anyone else had this problem, i e mailed them yesterday, got charged £6 last month for the texts, that was the month i converted tariffs, cheers

I'm surprised, never had any problems with O2. I'm on Pay As You Go now but I have had a contract with O2.
I get 300 free texts on Pay-As-U-Go now, but I'm pretty sure I get charged for my Media Messages. Hope you manage to get it sorted out anyway. |

As far as I know, the online 100 tariff is the minimum tariff which will give you inclusive MMS - it states either 500 text messages or 125 MMS (i.e, as you said 1 MMS = 4 SMS), or obviously you can have a mixture of both. The online 50 tariff information states 'SMS/MMS: 500/0. There are no inclusive MMS. I agree, however, that this is asterisked and the note below is misleading, indicating that what you believe is true. This, however, is just a general comment and only applies to tariffs that include MMS (hence, not online 50).

Firstly you should make sure you have the correct access point settings for MMS - they're available from the o2 website. If that doesn't work, you either have to email them or phone to ask for you mobile to be MMS provisioned.

He/She uses a Genie/ O2 online card. They're very common - a lot of people have them,
I was a bit surprised yesterday to get 2 texts from o2 both announcing i had used up my 300 free texts and they were now charging me! Thats rubbish, i have not used 300 texts in the last month. and why i got the same message twice i dunno. Then i got two similar texts announcing that i had used up all my wap time - I'm on a 3310! It doesn't even have wap capabilities!!! And once again i got 2 identical messages about it. V strange

Yeah i went to website ad it seems that they have changed the offer becasue about a month ago the online 50 tariff enabled you to combine mms and texts but now it is the 100 one, although when i upgraded they said it would only cost £20 for the mix and match, though they dont know what they are talking about and im sure most of them just make things up on the spot!!

Interesting for not just O2 users
If anyone is interested in saving on Cross network and Landline to Mobile calls, just dial 0871 208 1000 then dial the mobile number but don't press send again.
This service costs 10 p/min at all times from BT lines BUT check with your mobile operator how much on your tariff, (It might not be worth it) Happy hunting
