New 3 handsets

Are there any new 3 handsets due this year ?? I am interested in getting a 3G phone but don`t like the current offerings...

A P800 like 3G device would be great....

You may like the Sony Ericsson Z1010 which may be available on 3?! I wouldn't recommend 3 at the moment their service leaves a lot to be desired!

There's the Motorola A835 due out before the end of the year.

Surely there services at the moment would be at least as good as o2 (seeing as o2 are providing their non-3G network coverage).

At the moment, if I hadn't just stupidly upgraded my Orange phone to a pants Orange SPV, I'd seriously be considering moving over. £25 a month for 500 cross network minutes - at the moment on Orange I'm paying £24 a month for 120! And on the new Videotalk plans they've dropped the prices on the handset - on Videotalk 750 (£35 a month with 750 cross net minutes) all the handsets are only £99!

Someone else has just pointed out to me that certain net shops are now giving the handsets away on the new tariffs - http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk is one such place!

Less to do with the network the only real issue is dropping calls between O2 and 3 when roaming.

Here is the crux of the problems. I waited 9 days and they hadn't connected me. I sent my phone back under 14 days return and then they sent me a bill for someone else using the phone a week after I returned it

Customer service is terrible, though some people seem to have a clue they are few and far between! I wouldnt go back to them EVER!

Orange will definately NOT be launching their 3G services this year. They've already announced that it'll be next spring before they do anything.

Vodafone will probably be next around about Sept.

The problem is that all the other networks will just view 3G as just an upgrade to their current 2G networks. So, 3G will probably just be a bit of an upgrade to Vodafone Live! or T-zones or O2 Active.

As 3 are brand new, they're probably going to have some funky new things on there....

So u guys reckon 3G isnt worth jumping onto for another year or 2 when all networks support it and prices fall and more have it?

i was watching a programme on BBC 4 yesturday and they said that 3G will be a failure. It said that the only thing which can save it is Pornography.

Major companys are already in talks with some major markets int he pornography industry and deals are near completion.

3G bring nothing new really either, only thging new is u an have a video conversation.

Ah yes looks a nice handset but the important question to anybody in the know at 3UK is that phone going to be available on the network in next 6months ?

Don't think that 6650 is a 3G phone. Seems to be more of a better looking 7650! It doesn't say anything about video calls, only a videorecord function which the 7650 and 3650 already do.
