Can anyone recommend a Freeview VCR / DVD recorder please. I don't want a PVR as part of it but it was unclear where to post so I've posted in both sections.

Roughly £200 or less is my budget.

I don't want lots of clever features. A button on the remote control to switch between wide, 14:1 and the old ratio would be nice.

Oh and does both the DVD and the VCR bits have their own Freeview tuner?

Thanks for any advice.

You're going to struggle finding one? - VCR's are pretty well obselete now, and hardly any Freeview ones were ever available, a PVR/DVD recorder is much easier to find and works much better as well.

Fair enough, but given that, for my own bizarre reasons, I do want a Freeview VCR / DVD do you have any suggestions?

No, I've never even heard of one - I've only ever heard of one Freeview VCR, and that was just a cheap thing and very shortlived.

As Nigel says does it all but am surprised that the VCR section is not S-VHS spec.

I'm more surprised that it includes a VCR at all!

I can't see it been in production for very long?, I also doubt they will sell many?. Probably see them being sold off for £199 or £149 in the new year?.
