so many text votes were wasted never counted - getting verification text the next day. I like to phone and Hear ' you have voted for Leon' - more reassuring.

Agree lulu re cute guy factor - worked for Ray, and imho Leon is cuter. Hopefully the other factors Mutt mentioned are good indicators.

I know what you mean...it makes you want to vote more too, which I guess is the effect they were looking for..

A yeah, 17% of texts from the series 2 final not being counted was a shocker...how they have the nerve to say it didn't effect the final outcome when there was about 1% in it is beyond me...

That's one of the things I would love to know as well, I do hope Leon is top 3

Certain of it! For once I think Sharon is right - he's the dark horse and he will win it. Against Rhydian, I think.

LOL Sharon was saying everyone will be in final last Saturday.

Do you know what I focus on ? Simons face when he's watching - I have caught him really staring at Leon in the last few weeks - his commnets too on Saturday were carefully chosen i.e. not to create a backlash - your likeable but to get a dig in that the vocal was terrible.

'I'm wondering why you are doing so well' - could mean, 'how you've got this far based on your performance', but I like to tell myself it's becasue he's doing well in the voting.

Just to make sure we should give Leon some extra votes each week

.

Simon always looks quite deep in thought when he is watching Leon perform, it's quite interesting. And yeas, the comments this week were interesting, in as much as he did say how likeable he was, even if he did preceded it by being critical.

And I believe this is quite possible, because while I do think on the night he doesn't know the vote tally (his utter shock at the FP and Hope bottom 2 convinces me of that ), I'm sure he gets the voting figures at some stage....it is his show, so it seems silly to think otherwise!

I've noticed Simon staring too and as if he is in deep thought, I'm really surprised Simon has'nt come out with the "your being kept in because the whole of Scotland is voting for you" routine

He doesn't want to repeat the success of the MacDonald Bros from last year. Plus he's half Scottish ... or was it quarter ... ?

I laughed at Sharon's predictions last week as well - a very busy final night, according to her!

LOL was she on the bacardi and coke, what with all those remarks 'you'll be in the finals' and the 'cojones' remark to Andy.

She seemed to pull her act together somewhat in series 2 and 3, though...now we're right back to square 1 with her...

I think she has a bit of a maternal instinct thing when it comes to Leon, though, so I don't think so!

I hope not in any case!

Her maternal act is at least preferable to the scrunchy-hands-to-Shayne gesture!

Lol, I agree.

Though I feel for the acts she has that fall for it. I was reading how Tabby from series 1 said she treated him like a part of her family in the run up to and during the show, but then totally dumped him afterwards.....

Poor Tabby. I thought he was so good, and was so disappointed that Sharon didn't stick by him. Actually I don't think she's got much clout when it comes to it. Plus it's all about her, rather than the acts.

She is very successful as a promoter, but she doesn't have the same pull in the music business as Simon or Louis. However, that doesn't excuse her making someone feel like they are important to you on a personal level then do that to them...

As you say, for her demonstrations of emotion, she really is only in it for herself.

Very happy Leon does not have her as his mentor. Say what you like about Dannii, but she is at least working with her acts in a hands on way.

I agree. Dannii or Simon. It would have been interesting to have heard what Simon would have been saying about Leon if he'd have been mentoring him!

I suspect it would have been a whole different kettle of fish.

Last week he would have said 'you gave it your all and had fun with it.....and I know the public love you almost as much as they love me' or words to that effect...

If Leon was performing Everlasting Love on Saturday, do you think he should go for the Jamie Cullen arrangement:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITLs4umWEFw

or the Gloria Estefan one?
