Why are the....
cove61

Why are the nominations not shown live on Prime time TV.
I cannot understand why there is a 24 hour delay in announcing the results.for goodness sake even the housemates know before us thanks to the 15Minute delay on E4 live feed B. (the chickens are normally on the A Feed when the nomination results are being announced to the house)

Anybody got any ideas of Why! C4 do this and whether they do it on other BB's internationally?

One reason i did hear (although only for the conspiracy buffs) is if the noms did not go as planned the can then recall the Plant(s) into the diary room to change their nominations as required with out the public expecting.

perhaps to introduce a bit of suspense?

Perhaps it is because sitting watching the nominations and the nominations actually happen take a long period of time. Whilst in the diary room they probs talk about a lot of other things, some personal, so the edit needs to take place.

Or the cynical side of me says that it's so they can edit the footage, like all of the rest of the footage, to put certain people in a certain light.

Ooooo the drama...

doesn't make sense, it would be more suspence full watching them making the Noms one by one live
watching them going into the diary room to make their nominations is hardly suspenseful, they might as well be going into the diary room to get new batteries.
So watching the the Nom programme On tuesday may carry some of the excitement of a live Nominations programme, Except it is not very suspenceful when you already know whos going up for the vote

Remember they did the first eviction of BB2 live and it took less than an hour to go around ten, perfect timing for an Nominations programme, and after all E4 are supposed to be showing"Unedited Nominations" on Tuesdays so i don't see how C4 good use editing or time restraints for not going live"

maybe it's just to break the week up more, people watch them sitting there on E4 and BBLB on Monday, then you get the announcement and the live noms on Tuesday,if they did them live there would be another blank day like Thursday.

Aren't the nominations in the afternoon. Most peeps are at work(or at least meant to be). Maybe BB don't want to be offering E4 viewers exclusivity on the situation but then everyone finds out early anyway.

But why does it need to be done in the afternoon, after all last year did they not nominate on a Tuesday.( I believe they moved it forward 24 hrs to get an extra days voting out of the public)They did in BB2.Why not put out a live programme on MOnday Night with the nominations, They are already milking it to the extreme anyway.
