Cheers Dronkula, I have cable and just phoned Tiscali to try to find out if I change all 3 services to them - their sales team clearly needs to read this thread as the guy I spoke to just said "I can't tell you unless you have a BT line" and then sprouted some twaddle about random phone line routes (?!!).

You need to have a BT line so they can run the adsl checkers to see if its avaiable. If you've a neighbour that has a bt line, give that to them to see if it will work.

Tiscali Tv is now available on Didsbury exchange in Manchester.

So far, so good with Tiscali. I ordered 8MB broadband and phone line on 22/9/07. Broadband went live on 26/9/07, getting a consistent download speed of 6.4mbps with no drop-outs. Phone line went live today with no problems. I ordered the TV yesterday as my exchange has just been upgraded and it's being installed on Tuesday

You have a filter on your phone socket and the ADSL cable from that filter goes into a wireless modem router, an ethernet cable from that router plugs into a set top box which then plugs into your TV by way of a scart cable

Can we start a list of all confirmed exchanges which are definitely activated with Tiscali TV?

In particular, i'm interested in Bradwell Abbey (SMBA), and yes I know it's Tiscali LLU enabled already.

Thanks in anticipation.

According to that the exchange Bradwell Abbey (SMBA) in Milton Keynes is Tiscali TV enabled. But it's definitely not according to Tiscali sales and their own website. Something's not right!

Well my exchange has just been enabled. Sam knows stated that my exchange had been Tiscali TV enabled but the Tiscali site took a little while to update.

Chances are your exchange has been enabled but the sales site has not been updated yet, hopefully it should apper very soon.

Samknows has listed my exchange as enabled for over a month!

mmmmm...dont know then, didnt take that long for sales site to update for me, maybe I was one of the lucky ones.

However Sam Knows could well be right, it could be that the exchange is ready but tiscali need to have other things in place before they offer the service in your area, or it could be that the sales site just hasnt been updated, it should appear soon, just how soon I dont know.

Out of interest, have you phoned Tiscali to see if they can provide the service?

as mentioned.. I called Tiscali sales too... but they said it's not available in my area. Call me cynical but I bet they've gone and messed up their roll-out plan or something... I woudn't put that past tiscali

The rule of Thumb for TV is that if you are on an exchange that is LLU with SMPF (DSLAMS) then it is available dependant on your line. If you are on one of these exchnages and get a message saying it's not available in your area then the it's only your line holding you back - maybe their messages should be more specific?

Just been told Tiscali TV is not availible on my Exchange - Twickenham. According to Samknows and Tiscalis web site it is enabled - does anyone reading this live in the Twickenham area and have Tiscali TV?

Although we are making good progress upgrading the exchanges, we are rolling out the TV service by areas. Not sure which and what order. Your exchange is IPTV enabled and I'm sure it won't be long before you can upgrade.

If my exchange is IPTV enabled why can't I have the service?

Because upgrading the exchange isn't the only thing we have to do to get the TV service to you.

Well in a years time I might try your service again, just signed up to Virgin TV. Just trying to get my phone and broadband sorted with Tiscali now - apparently going to take 20ish days because of the failed order for Tiscali TV - I wish I never tried to do that now! If only your web site and staff were a little more upto date with what services are available.

I'm sorry.
One the plus side, I have Virgin too and find it's great. Not quite as good as Tiscali, but a good second best.

I'm on the Gosforth exchange in Newcastle and get TTV despite SamKnows showing TTV not enabled yet.
