As that joke ( with various names) has been doing the rounds for decades, I shouldn't think anyone will be too bothered.

Boredom with it's repetition would be the only issue.

Well, I had a good life. Might as well go out in a bang of newspapers and tanks.

Same here. At least I might achieve one goal - being called 'anti-Diana scum' by the gutter press in an article written by one Mr. M al-Fayed.

Ooh, I have never been in the paper before. This would be my chance to get noticed.

Most of those "jokes" died nearly ten years ago They were not particularly funny then and even less so now

I kid you not, in the Mail on Sunday yesterday, I saw an advert offering a CD of "Diana's favourities tunes from her life and funeral"

Not that I haven't heard these all before, but I think that's so disrespectful. You don't have to like the woman, but making stupid jokes like that is just sick.

If anyone were to joke like that about Madeleine McCann or something, i'd bet you'd all go mental.

These Head & Shoulder gags emanate from the time of the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster (~1980s), or even earlier - no doubt some bore will correct me - substitute Kirsty (?) (young female teacher on board Shuttle) for Princess Di.

Another one: What was the last thing that went though Kirsty's mind - Sheet Metal <Guffaw!>

What was the last thing that Kirsty said - Don't touch that Bu....! <Chortle!>

There's a million of them - just like the bits of Kirsty on the beach !

etc, etc, etc
