O2 recently introduced changes to their contracts to exclude non-geographic numbers from bundled minutes.

Such changes (that are to the detriment of customers) need to be advised to customers 30 days before they come into play; this is a key condition of their operating licence and failure to adhere can result in the company being fined a percentage of their annual turnover by Offcom.

Affected customers can also choose to exit their contracts with O2, which is a wondeful opportunity for many many people.

News story here: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/09...on_geographic/

I believe the claim that customers need to make the decision by the end of September is misleading. The window of opportunity begins after the notification of pricing changes is received.

Perhaps it would be better to merge the threads with the original one from nearly two weeks ago?

I have decided to terminate my contract in light of this - not just "swinging the lead", it has actually p***ed me off. Although O2 were the only network remaining that allowed non-geo's out of inclusive minutes, this was a major factor in my renewing with O2 last year.

My O2 contract is via CPW and I called their "customer services" today to cancel. After calling a couple of times to seemingly empathetic staff, only to have my call dropped shortly after, I have developed a degree of cycnicsm about their interest in processing my cancellation request.

To get to the point, does anyone have an address for CPW O2 contract cancellations please? (I know there is an address on the bills, but I have previously fallen foul of sending my request to the "wrong address" so want to be doubly sure).

Thanks, Paul
