I've thought before this that Lee Ryan had a good singing voice but was an idiot otherwise and yes I remember his 9/11 comments.

He's still not the brightest guy out there. The woodpigeons grow on trees comment made me laugh a lot, but I respect him a lot for quietly taking Marco to one side and asking to have a word and then in private pointing out that he'd found a word that Marco had used twice offensive.

I have a new found respect for Lee after this.

So, in your personal opinion, is a term of abuse acceptable?

(If so, which term(s) of abuse, and why?)”

Terms of abuse IMO can be deemed acceptable.
eg.If someone calls me a name,I will retaliate in the blink of an eye with a term of abusive that I consider apt at that moment as I don't shy away from Bullying.
As for what terms of abuse I deem acceptable there's many depending on the nature of the insult received.
In fact there's very few abusive terms I would shy away from.
So in short I'm not going to start to list the insults/terms of abuse I deem acceptable.
A little creative imagination on your part here will answer that.

In private - just him, Marco and the TV camera you mean? I thought he came across as a point-scoring little twit.

I didn't realise that Paul Young had a fling with Lee's mother a while ago.

I'm glad this idiot is gone. He's comment after 9/11 "Who gives a f--- about 9/11 when there's dolphins dying in trawler nets" means I for one will punch him in the mouth if he ever comes within 10 foot of me.

He'll be fine if he's 11 foot away.

Seems like we didn't see the whole argument. Apparently Lee had swore at Marco and called him a tw*t.

I'm not sure, I think the journalist is a bit confused. It was Jim who was called a tw*t not Marco - I think Marco's quote has been used out of context.

Oh, I see, I missed the actual episode when this all happened.

I think that Lee would have walked out at some stage in any case. He did nothing but whine and complain. He didn't want to cut or burn his fingers as he was a musician, he didn't want to wear the chefs hat, he didn't want to kill the languestines (sp), he could handle vegetables but not the live things. Why the heck did he go on there in the first place?
