D900i - Vodafone - help please
sgtbilko

I recently bought an o2 samsung d900i. As it was unlocked I put my vodafone contract sim in it.

Everything worked fine but I have noticed a problem over last few days. Sometimes when I try to make a call, the contact name number are showing and the phone is attempting to dial, but it does not connect to the dialled number...then cuts off saying 'Call ended'.

This is happening sporadically and there are no obvious patterns.

Could this be a problem with the phone ? or is anybody else experiencing anything similar i.e. could it be a network problem.

There have been Vodafone network problems since last Friday.

Saying that, I've had no problems at all today.

Do they post anything on their site to update customers ? I had a look before posting this but couldn't find anything.

thanks, that reassures me a bit....I was worried that maybe the handset was playing up.

Hi,

This sounds like a network thing but there's also a chance it could be your phone. I have this happen to me sometimes and the call continues to try to connect and then ends. This is mainly when the network is so busy it can't cope with another call. Normally by retrying it will work for you. I don't think there's a specific network issue for this, it's just the way the network sometimes works at busy times.

If you contimue to have these problems or it gets worse, we're happy to look into this for you or send your phone off for repair if you're still in warranty. You'd simply need to go to our website at www.vodafone.co.uk and click on 'Contact us' and send an e-mail. Include the word FIT135 in the body of your e-mail and it will go to the specialist team who deal with online forum issues. They may be able to help.
