Re the questions above about whether or not you get priority for the following week if you don't get in - I once had tickets to a recording of "They Think It's All Over", got stuck in traffic and so was at the back of the queue. We didn't get in and weren't offered any alternative dates! A ticket definitely does not guarantee entry.

Oh - and agree with the comments on production guests. "Friends of the Production" as they were referred to at AQOS were given all the seats at the front. I didn't know about the dress code for Strictly (this is the first year I have applied), but agree it doesn't seem fair to let the jeans brigade get the front seats at what is supposed to be a glitzy and glamorous show!

Have to disagree here as been to numerous recordings in past and if you dont get in one week you are supposed to ring the person you got them from and let them know. They then send you out PRIORITY tickets for the next show and these people get in before the main queue. Contestants guests will have priority tickets and i had them for Question of Sport before where as long as you get there before they start going in you are GUARANTEED entry to the studio.

This is the case with certain recordings, but it depends on the audience services company issueing the tickets (this is a policy adopted by Applause Store. I think SRO does it too).

However, the BBC DOES NOT DO THIS on shows they send out the tickets for themselves.

All my bunch received e-mails yesterday, so good luck and my prior congratulations to those who have received, though please don't be offended if I get upset if I haven't received tickets

That certainly was the case with me - although my failure to get in for They Think It's All Over was about four years ago, so the policy may have changed. Opposite happened a year or so later when I went to Never Mind the Buzzcocks - there was a tube strike on and so less than a third of the audience turned up! We all had to sit at the front and make twice as much noise as usual (which was difficult as the guests included Nicholas Parsons who wasn't funny at all).

Of course the first thing we will know is when someone who DID get a ticket posts...if we did not get a ticket we wont know !

If you have been successful we will let you know on Thursday 20 September 2007. If you do not hear from us it means you have not been successful this time.

I know, that makes it worse! Have to just keep on checking the e mail and hope someone who does get tickets posts soon, so at least we'll know then! I'm not holding out much hope of getting tickets, but not knowing is the worst thing!

I am worrying I'll get the phone call when I am out, and they'll allocate the tickets to someone else

I doubt it. They'll leave a message if you have voicemail. If not, then I guess they'd still send them through, even if they can't contact you.
